Police and firefighters attacked with bricks and stones as they dealt with suspected Maltby arson

An investigation is now underway following a suspected arson attack which took place at Maltby Miners Welfare on Wednesday, April 28.Police were called at 6pm that evening after receiving reports that the building was on fire.
While there, and dealing with the blaze, South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire fire crews had stones and bricks thrown at them by youths.

If you have any information, CCTV footage or were driving through the area with dash cam at around this time last Wednesday, please get in touch.”The incident number is 703 of Wednesday, April 28.
