Police action after operation confirms speeding cars on Doncaster estate

Police are taking action after an operation carried out today on a Doncaster estate confirmed cars were speeding in the area.

Officers were out at both Wentworth Road and Westminster Crescent, Intake, today, with community support officers and response officers carrying out a mobile speed gun operation.

PSCO David Twigg said: “This was in response to complaints received from local residents regarding speeding vehicles in the area.

"At this time, a number of vehicles were witnessed travelling over the legal speed limit at both locations. This will result in drivers travelling over the legal limit receiving warning letters in the post.

“Local Police Community Support Officers will be conducting further such operations in the near future. If you have any concerns regarding speeding vehicles in your area, please contact us on 101. Thank you.”

It is the latest of a number of speeding operation which have been carried out by officers in recent weeks.
