New Deputy Chief Constable appointed for South Yorkshire Police

Chief Constable Stephen Watson QPM has announced the appointment of Lauren Poultney as Deputy Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police.

Lauren will take up the post at the end of the month following Mark Roberts appointment as Chief Constable of Cheshire Constabulary.

Throughout Lauren’s 23 year policing career, she has undertaken both uniformed and detective roles, working in a number of areas including neighbourhood policing, major crime, protecting vulnerable people and more.
