Motorists have been urged to avoid a Doncaster road which has been cordoned off following a road traffic collision earlier today.

South Yorkshire Police said Field Side is closed to traffic between Durham Avenue and Field Road, in Thorne.

In an update released on 10.15am on Monday, June 20, the police force told drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

The police have been contacted for more information and we will update you as soon as we have it.
