The footage was captured when Doncaster Rovers played Oldham Athletic last season, to show issues officers often face when managing crowds.
South Yorkshire Police said that in January 2019, mounted officers were attempting to manage away supporters through Doncaster town centre, when they faced abuse from the crowds.

A 27-year-old man who refused to leave the area became aggressive towards an officer on the ground.
To support her colleague, a mounted constable took hold of the fan by his hood and tried to escort him away from the area.
While in the process of doing this the man threatened to pull the mounted officer from her horse if she did not let go.

He was also given a football banning order for three years.
Sergeant Clive Collings said: “While our officers and horses are trained extensively in order to deal with incidents of disorder, and are an invaluable option in managing the behaviour of those intent on such action, no-one should be threatened with assault merely for attempting to maintain the peace and protect the public.”
