Man taken to hospital after suspected assault following Doncaster disturbance

A man was taken to hospital following a suspected assault after police were called to a ‘disturbance’ in a Doncaster town.

South Yorkshire Police said they were called to reports of a disturbance on North Eastern Road,Thorne, at 1.45pm on Sunday.

A spokesman said: “On arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 22-year-old man who is believed to have been assaulted. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment and since been discharged.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are continuing at this time.”
