Man rushed to hospital after stabbing outside Doncaster pizza takeaway

Police were called at around 8.30pm last night to reports that a man had been stabbed in Beckett Road, Wheatley.
It is understood staff at Pizza Napoli raised the alarm after the man, 32, entered the shop with flesh wounds to his back.

Hide AdA South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “It is reported that the 32-year-old victim entered a pizza shop in Beckett Road with injuries to his back consistent with a stabbing.
“He was taken to hospital to be treated for the injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Photos from the scene show the shop taped off and a number of police and emergency vehicles at the scene, close to the Co-op supermarket and the junction with Lincoln Road.
Numerous people reported heavy police activity at the shop throughout most of yesterday evening.

Hide AdIt is the second serious incident in Beckett Road in a matter of weeks.
On November 29, two people were arrested on suspicion of murder after a 55-year-old man was found dead at a house in the street.
South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the scene shortly after noon after reports a man had died.
A 34-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were detained as inquiries continue.
It is not thought that the two incidents are connected.
