Man bailed after 'assault with weapons' in major Doncaster residential street incident

A man has been bailed after being arrested by police following a major incident in a Doncaster residential street.

A 28-year-old man from Doncaster was arrested and bailed on suspicion of section 18 assault and causing criminal damage following an incident at an address in Larch Drive, Armthorpe last week.

The street was sealed off last Thursday after police and ambulance crews flooded the area following reports of an assault on a man by two other men with weapons.

The victim was taken to hospital following the incident at 11.40am suffering from leg injuries.

A police spokesman said: “The victim sustained injuries to his leg. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.”

The street was sealed off for a number of hours as police forensics teams combed the area.
