Man appears in court charged with murder of Amy Stringfellow in Doncaster

A man has appeared in court in Doncaster this morning charged with murder.

Terence Papworth appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court accused of murdering Amy Stringfellow in Balby on Friday.

Papworth, dressed in a blue hoodie and purple t-shirt, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

The 45-year-old from Dryden Road, Balby, was remanded in custody to appear again at Doncaster Crown Court on Wednesday.

Amy, aged 26, was found seriously injured at the property late on Friday.

When emergency services arrived at the property at 11.35pm she could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.

In an emotional tribute, her devastated family said: “Our hearts are broken and will never truly be repaired.

“You were beautiful and kind and inspired so many others. We know you will live on in your little girl.

“We love you all the pennies in the world.”
