Knife raider flees with cash after robbing till at Doncaster Tesco store

A knifeman entered the Tesco Express store in Bentley High Street last night and fled after grabbing a quantity of cash from the till.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 9pm on Wednesday, February 10 to reports of a robbery at a supermarket in High Street, Bentley.

“It is reported that a man entered the store armed with a knife and stole a quantity of cash from the till.

“He then fled on foot in the direction of Arksey.

“An investigation has been launched to find who is responsible.”

Anyone with information about the incident which could help detectives investigating the robbery should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 841 of 10 February 2021.
