Two men found on the Holmes Carr Road industrial estate premises were arrested. Their involvement is still being investigated as I write.

We have also been dealing with numerous calls about breaches of coronavirus guidelines while still managing our daily business.

Over the last month our response and CID colleagues made a number of arrests for burglaries.

Stock - House Robber / Burglar / burglary / break in

They included:

> May 4: Man arrested for commercial burglary, Silver Street. Later charged and recalled to prison.

> May 4: Man arrested for residential burglaries in Balby and Belle Vue. Charged and remanded to court.

> May 8: Man arrested for town centre commercial burglary on the same day. Charged and remanded.

Police cars

> May 11: Two men arrested for Wheatley house burglary on that date. Released under investigation.

> May 13: Man arrested for domestic burglary committed that day. Charged and remanded

> May 18: Man arrested for committing a residential burglary in Bessacarr. Released under investigation.

> May 16: Three arrested for breaking into a shed in Bawtry. Dealt with through restorative justice.

On June 1 we were called over two men trying handles on cars parked on the forecourt of a dealership on White Rose Way. We found two men matching descriptions given nearby, carrying car cleaning machinery. Both were detained.

A small amount of drugs were seized in raids on houses at Chester Road and Hatfield House, Intake. Property closure warning letters were served at both. St Leger Homes will use the evidence we obtained to take further action against the tenants.

We have also re-introduced speed checks now traffic is increasing again.

Off road bikes and quads continue to generate complaints. On May 27, we seized an off road bike on Anelay Road, Balby after the suspected rider ran from police.

An exceptionally warm May led to crimes where thieves entered through unlocked downstairs windows. Please make sure doors and windows are locked at bedtime.
