Houses ransacked and prowlers seen in Doncaster

South Yorkshire Police have reported a number of burglaries and prowlers in Donaster over the last two weeks.

On April 30 there was an attempt burglary at Masham Court in Cantley which resulted in a side door handle being damaged.On May 5 between 10.30am and 12.15pm a house on Somerton Drive in Bessacarr was entered by smashing a window. The house was ransacked various items stolen.Also in Bessacarr on the same day between 10-10.20am entry was gained to a property via smashing a rear patio window, the house was also ransacked.In Long Close, Bessacarr, on May 13 at 1.55am, two unknown males were picked up on CCTV looking in residents’ gardens and looking around the houses on the street. No entry was gained at any of the properties.A spokesman said: “Please ensure that you check that your front and back doors are locked, and close all the windows before you leave the house unattended or go to bed.”
