Enquiries continue for the search of an outstanding offender in Doncaster following an incident

Police are on the hunt for an outstanding offender who was thought to be located in a property in Doncaster – no arrests have been made.

Stainforth was a buzz with activity yesterday afternoon as many service vehicles and staff fled to the scene.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers attended an address on Haig Crescent in Stainforth this afternoon (July 22) as part of enquiries to locate an outstanding offender.

“On arrival at the address, officers requested assistance from colleagues at the fire service to ensure the property was made safe.

“No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”

Yesterday a local resident told the Doncaster Free Press that they saw seven police cars, two ambulances and two fire crews at the scene.

They also saw a South Yorkshire Police plane circling the area from above.

East Lane Road was closed during the incident.
