Doncaster's Phillip Hartley set to stand trial in London after anti-lockdown demo arrest

A Doncaster man will go on trial in London today after being arrested at an anti-coronavirus lockdown demonstration in the capital last year.

Phillip Anthony Hartley, 37, will appear at City of London Magistrates Court charged with breaching Covid-19 regulations by attending a demonstration in Hyde Park in London on May 16.

Hartley, of Christ Church Road, who also uses the name Phillip L’Estrange and describes himself as the #lovecampaigner, was arrested at the demonstration against pandemic restrictions, 5G phone masts and vaccines after refusing a £50 fine.
