Doncaster man caught three times over drink-drive limit given ban

A Doncaster man has been given a community order after being caught behind the wheel almost three times over the legal drink-drive limit, court records show.

Danut Pirlaoga appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on October 9 to be sentenced, after admitting drink driving and driving without insurance at a previous hearing on August 28.

Pirlaoga, 35, of Whitburn Road, Hyde Park, Doncaster, was pulled over by police in Burton Avenue, Doncaster, on June 30, records show.

When breathalysed, he blew 98mg of alcohol to 100ml of breath, when the legal limit is 35mg.

It also emerged that Pirlaoga did not have any insurance on his VW Golf at the time he was stopped.

He was given a community order to include 80 hours of unpaid work, which must be completed within the next 12 months.

Magistrates also ordered him to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £95 victim surcharge, and banned him from driving for 25 months.
