Bosses at a Doncaster garden centre have blasted ‘aggressive’ and ‘unpleasant' customers who have been abusive to staff enforcing coronavirus rules.

Walker's Nurseries, which is based in Blaxton, has urged customers to treat staff with courtesy during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a Facebook post, a spokesman said: “Walker’s Nurseries, like many businesses in the UK, was forced to close it’s doors in March this year.

“Since re-opening, we have endeavoured to operate within the ever-changing government guidelines; without compromising the Walker’s experience.

“Unfortunately in recent weeks, there has been a noticeable increase in aggressive and unpleasant behaviour, towards our staff.

“All we ask is that you treat our staff, with the respect and courtesy they deserve. These are challenging times for us all and our staff are working hard to ensure we operate safely, as well as looking after our customer’s needs.

“Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to seeing you again soon.”
