Doncaster 'attempted murder' detectives want to speak to this man

Officers are currently investigating an incident on Christ Church Road, Doncaster town centre, in which a man was reported to have been assaulted at around 9pm on Thursday April 16.

A Doncaster man is due to appear in court later this month charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

A man, aged 35, was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident and is now recovering, say officers.

But police say investigations are continuing and want to trace a man who they want to speak to in connection with the incident. They have issued a picture of the man they want to talk to. Officers are appealing for anyone who recognises the man, pictured, to contact South Yorkshire police on 101 and quote incident number 885 of April 16, 2020, or Crimestopper on 0800 555111
