Court round-up: Key cases heard this week across South Yorkshire

Offenders from across South Yorkshire and Sheffield are continuing to be sentenced at Sheffield crown and magistrates’ courts and Doncaster Magistrates’ Court.

Cases here include three men jailed for manslaughter after a fracas following a football match, a dangerous driver involved in a 100mph police pursuit, and two jailed paedophiles.

Judges have imposed a range of sentences - including jail in some cases - after considering any mitigating circumstances.

In other cases, a racially-abusive man who insulted a pub employee and a child on a bus has been given custody, and a vandal who damaged council office windows received a custodial sentence.
