Cars torched in arson attack in Doncaster street

Firefighters were deployed to a Doncaster street after a car and van were set alight in an arson attack.

The vehicles were found burning on Anfield Road, Cantley, at 8.45pm yesterday and two fire engines were deployed.

The van and car were both well alight and crews remained there until 9.20pm.

At 12.55am today a vehicle was torched on Bahram Grove, New Rossington, Doncaster.

Four vehicles discovered burning on a car park on High Common Lane, Tickhill, Doncaster, at 5am today, were found to have caught fire accidentally.

Last night, Sheffield firefighters tackled a bin set on fire on Jaunty Lane, Basegreen; a rubbish fire on Meadow Gate Avenue, Sothall and a Landrover which was torched on Smithy Wood Road, Chapeltown.
