This is the moment a car was surrounded by police in a drama in Doncaster city centre in the early hours of the morning.

Patrols cars stopped the vehicle near to the St James Street Estate at around 2.20am, an eyewitness said.

The witness said the vehicles were heading in the direction of Hexthorpe near to the Balby Bridge flats with the car brought to a standstill by several police cars.

We have contacted South Yorkshire Police for further information.
