Another arrest on Doncaster estate as police carry out drugs swoop today

Another man has been arrested today as police carried out another drugs raid on a Doncaster estate.

Officers from the Doncaster Central neighbourhood policing team have this afternoon confirmed they carried out a swoop on a house on Crawshaw Road, Hexthorpe, earlier today, where they executed a search warrant under the misuse of Drugs Act.

PCSO Emma Langstaff said: “One male was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.”

She added 65 plants were seized, with further plants already cropped. She added the suspect was currently in custody, with the investigation on going.

Police earlier revealed they had seized 482 plants in a raid on Kirk Street, Hexthorpe, on Monday.

Spansyke Street saw a number of raids carried out last week, and residents had complained about recent power cuts in the area which they suspected were linked to the problem.

Anyone with information about drugs can contact police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on freephone 0800 555 111.
