Abysmal vandalism of a community centre in Doncaster is so bad it is being classed as a hate crime
Offensive and extensive vandalism has been a growing problem for a community centre in Doncaster – the council are asking for anyone with information on the culprits to share it with the police.
The Adwick Community Enterprise (ACE) has been the target of terrible vandalism attacks in recent weeks.
Doncaster Council said: “The graffiti daubed on the walls is particularly offensive, so much so, it is being treated as a hate crime.
"We’ve blocked it out as it is so vile.
"ACE is a popular horticultural centre in the heart of the village, popular and well loved for the work they do.
“Why anyone would do this is beyond belief."
Some of the graffiti reads “have fun cleaning” and a hateful death threat.
Planters have been knocked carelessly to the ground.
The council are asking if you notice any suspicious behaviour, to report it to South Yorkshire Police by calling 101 or online via http://reportingcrime.uk
