Exclusive:“Committed and dangerous”: South Yorkshire paedophile who offered payment to rape 11-year-old girl jailed

Dixon asked if the pre-teen youngster was “active”, meaning “currently being sexually abused”

A judge has jailed a “committed and dangerous” South Yorkshire paedophile who offered payment to rape an 11-year-old girl.

Christoper Dixon, 68, told an undercover police officer he believed to be the fictitious child’s aunt he would travel from his Doncaster home to London and stay in a hotel for the underaged sex.

Aaron Dinnes, prosecuting, told Sheffield Crown Court “sexual predator” Dixon went by the handle “old spunker” during the online chat between September 14 and September 18 last year.

He asked the officer - who also claimed to have three-year-old - if the pre-teen youngster was “active”, meaning “currently being sexually abused” and whether she had ever “watched” the children being “raped”.

Mr Dinnes said: “He asked her how much money would be acceptable. She told him a figure.”

The court heard during another conversation about the made-up 11-year-old on Snapchat vile Dixon told the officer “you don’t realise how much I need her”.

On November 20, 2025 police arrived at Dixon’s home and arrested him, where they found him in possession of devices which breached the sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) he was already serving.

Mr Dinnes said Dixon had a “lengthy history of similar offences”, including inciting a child to watch a sex act as far back as 1975. The court heard he had breached SHPOs “seven” times in the past.

Dixon’s barrister Rebecca Tanner said her client had shown “remorse” and insight into his behaviour, however Judge Graham Reeds KC handed him an extended jail term to “protect the public”.

He told Dixon: “You have a long and serious history of sexual offending. You are a committed and dangerous sex offender who shows no sign of stopping.

“You have a sexual interest in children which is serious and ongoing - you are clearly a dangerous offender for whom nothing really works to divert you away from offending.

“I have no doubt that you really believed you were arranging to have sex with an 11-year-old girl and you were prepared to pay for it.

“You are a dangerous sexual predator - I cannot see any other way to protect the public except by giving you an extended sentence.”

Dixon, of Short Road, Intake, Doncaster, admitted arranging the rape of a child under 13.

He was handed six years and four months’ jail with a three-year post-custodial licence period. He will serve at least two-thirds of the custodial term before being considered for parole.
