The superstar whose impressive career spanned over 50 years is believed to have died at her home in Spain last night.
A Spanish police spokeswoman said: “I can confirm the death of British national Priscilla White, aged 72.”
The 72-year-old had recently praised Epworth actress Sheridan Smith for her ITV portayal in the award-winning three-part drama “Cilla” calling her “teriffic”.
Sheridan has yet to react to the news of Cilla Black’s death on socail media.
