Children entertained the over 60s in Wroot
Taking place recently was the Wroot Over 60s Christmas Party.
The event was hosted by a small committee which raises funds throughout the year as well as seeking help from other groups, including Isle of Axholme Lions, the Festival of the Plough Committee, Wroot Parish Council and the Cross Keys Inn.
Some 70 villagers gathered in the village hall and were entertained by children from Wroot Travis Primary School (pictured).
A full Christmas dinner was served followed by bingo and a raffle. Stainforth singer John Thompson sang songs from the 50s to 70s.
