Catch Half Deaf Clatch at Doncaster club

A Yorkshire blues favourite will be next to take to the stage at a popular Doncaster music club.

Hull’s Andrew McLatchie, better known as Half Deaf Clatch, is performing at the town’s The Roots Music Club.

A club spokesman said: “Drawing from his obsession with pre-war country blues, Half Deaf Clatch has been impressing audiences all over the UK for the last five years with his raw down-home sound and his original songwriting.

“Described as a ‘slide stomp blues machine’ he has been nominated in the finals of the British Blues Awards eight times in the last three years.

“In 2015 alone, he was nominated in the final six for the acoustic act, songwriter, best album of the year and song of the year categories in these prestigious awards. His new album, The Life and Death of AJ Rail, was released in October and is receiving lots of amazing reviews.”

Half Deaf Clatch plays The Roots Music Club, the Ukrainian Centre, Beckett Road, Doncaster town centre, on Friday, March 18, from 8pm.
