BREAKING: Gas leak causes people to be evacuated from homes in South Yorkshire town
Residents have been evacuated from homes and businesses in Maltby after a gas leak this evening.
People were evacuated from properties about an hour ago and High Street is closed from the junction with Braithwell Road to the junction with Millindale.
Emergency services and staff from Transco are at the scene dealing with the incident.
South Yorkshire Police tweeted that there is "no risk to the wider community."
