BBC political editor and presenter Laura Kuenssberg has praised a Doncaster railway station waiting room - on a flying visit to the town.

The journalist took to Twitter to sing her praises of the waiting room where she was changing trains to attend a function in Rotherham where Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has been campaigning on the EU Referendum trail.

She told her 450,000 followers that she was "ecstatic" with the waiting room, tweeting: "You know you've been working long days when genuinely ecstatic to find a proper waiting room at Doncaster station."

She shared a picture of her view as she waited to board a train to nearby Rotherham later tweeting: "Thanks Donny - short but sweet, back on train again to Corbyn speech in Rotherham."

Laura, the first woman to hold the esteemed BBC Political Editor post, was appointed to the role last year, replacing Nick Robinson.

In recent months, she has been clocking up miles across the country following politicians campaigning for and against Britain's exit from the European Union.
