Anger after woman seen lifting children over fence into closed off Doncaster playground

A woman has been spotted lifting young children into a Doncaster playground – closed off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The woman was captured on camera lifting a number of youngsters over the fence of the playground in Queen’s Drive, Bentley, earlier this week.

A passer-by who spotted the scene, but declined to be named, said: “She had four kids in total.

“I don’t know if she was the mum but she lifted them all over the fence to play."

“There is a big sign next to the gate saying not to go in.”

All of Doncaster’s playgrounds and play areas have been shut by Doncaster Council since the beginning of lockdown in a bid to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which has so far claimed 74 lives in Doncaster with nearly 400 cases.

Last week, Doncaster Council announced that graveyards and Cusworth Park would re-open.
