An ap-peel-ing event for apple growers

Do you grow apples in your garden?
..
.

Or perhaps you would be interested in growing fruit? If you have apple trees, maybe you’re nervous about looking after them and pruning them? Perhaps you have some old apple varieties that you can’t identify?

If any of this rings a bell with you, then look out for a new event coming to Epworth this October. On Saturday 14 October from 11 to 3pm the Apple of Your Isle are bringing an Apple Day to the Old Rectory gardens.

Among the things on offer will be a chance for you to bring some of your apples and help turn them into apple juice (maximum 2 supermarket bags of fruit; you will need some bottles to take the juice home in). We’ll have experts on hand to help you identify your apples and also some short workshops on how to prune your trees. There will be music, apple related produce to sample and buy, as well as games to play. All this, and there’s no charge to attend. It should be a great day out.
