Amazon's delivery by drone programme could be trialed in Doncaster
Amazon is set to pay for the programme, which will aim to look at the best way to allow hundreds of robotic aircraft to fly safely around Britain's skies safely.
The company says it is conducting the trials in Britain, because the regulations are more flexible here than in other country.

Hide AdDoncaster is home to one of Amazon's eight distribution centres across the country, and could be used for the trial.
Amazon has been contacted for comment.
The company claims the programme will mean that small parcels will arrive at your house within 30 minutes of them being ordered online.
The government says the work will help it draw up new rules and regulations for the future, so that all companies can take advantage of drone technology, which it claims could eventually be worth billions.
