While we do not know when it will be possible for us to travel abroad, what we can bank on is the many wonderful holiday destinations in the region that will be available to us once restrictions are eased in Britain.
South Yorkshire is blessed with being located just a short drive away from the beautiful North Sea cost in North Yorkshire, as well as the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park.

1. Scarborough

2. York
Voted the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times, the historical city of York is a fantastic place to visit with a vibrant food and drink scene and 30 world-class museums to explore. The city is surrounded by ancient walls, as well as a 13th century Gothic Minster with medieval stained glass, and has a festival for every month of the year. 3. Whitby
Whitby is a wonderful place to visit, with its picturesque harbour that has the River Esk running through it, and the Gothic Whitby Abbey which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. It is also located a short distance from the coastal retreats of Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes and Sandsend and the peaceful and colourful countryside of the North York Moors National Park surrounds Whitby Town. 4. Buxton
The charming Derbyshire spa town of Buxton is a brilliant destination for a getaway, with its magnificent ornamental gardens and stunning Victorian and Georgian architecture and fabulous selection of independent shops, restaurants and bars.
