The pub chain opened up bookings on its website yesterday, so thirsty Brits can reserve themselves a table to grab a pint.

You'll only be able to book a table outside, as bars and restaurants won't be able to serve people inside until at least mid-May.

The pub chain announced the news on Twitter and said it ‘can’t wait’ to welcome drinkers back to its pubs, including The Cumberland on Thorne Road, its only Doncaster venue that will re-open on April 12.

Some pubs will have reduced opening hours and menus which will be updated on their own individual website.

Drinkers will only be able to meet in groups of six or two households, according to Government regulations.

Social distancing is expected to stay in place all summer as the nation starts to reopen again under Boris Johnson's roadmap out of lockdown.

Like before, face masks must be worn by staff and customers when not sat at a table.

You don't have to book ahead to grab a table, though.

The chain says that people can arrive without booking in advance and still be seated - although you might have to wait until one is free.

If all goes to plan, indoor dining at pubs and restaurants will be allowed from May 17.

On June 21, all remaining lockdown restrictions will be lifted.
