Family tennis sessions come to the Isle

The sessions run by head coach John Willis and assistant coach Jake Walker will take place in Haxey and Epworth.

John Willis, who has trained A-List Hollywood actor Charlton Heston said: “We hope to get parents away from the idea that they ‘drop off’ theirs kids at sport activity and collect them later. We want engagement and participation from all members of families.

“It’s healthy, they might learn a new skill and it’s also fun.

“We can cater for all standards from complete beginner to experts.

“Tennis is a sport for all, doing more together as a family is always a good thing. Parents will gain the skill to help their own children improve.”

The sessions will take place at Haxey LTC, Haxey Lane on Saturday Family Tennis (open to all) 10am to 11am, £5 per person, advanced junior coaching Saturday 11am to 12.30pm, £10, junior coaching Saturday 1pm to 2pm. £7 per person, £5 each for siblings and Tuesday’s junior coaching 6pm to 7pm, £7 per person, £5 each for siblings

Sessions will run at Epworth LTC, War Memorial Field, Station Road Monday advanced coaching 6.30pm to 8pm, £10, Friday social coaching for all followed by mix in social tennis play 6pm to 7pm. £5 per person.
