Pay rise boost is tribute to dedicated Doncaster care home staff

A Doncaster based family-owned care home business, that has been established for almost 15 years, is recognising the amazing team it has after the most unusual two years.

Trust Care Ltd, which has seven high-standard care homes across South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, is publicly thanking all its staff for their dedication and professionalism and for smiling in the face of adversity.

As the pandemic threw everyone’s lives into chaos, the staff put the care, health, and safety of their residents and each other as a priority embracing the myriad of challenges they faced, they said.

Tributes to staff

Andrew Savage, Director, Trust Care Ltd commented: “Our staff have worked so hard dealing with every aspect of the pandemic that we wanted to do something to thank them and recognise their commitment towards our residents.

“We’ve ensured that they have enjoyed little added extras such as takeaways and treats, however from 1st December we have also given all staff pay rises of between 6 and 12 per cent.”

This latest reward shows how committed Trust Care Ltd is to its homes and staff. Many of its homes have been recently refurbished and the company has spent increased amounts of time focussing on staff and recognising how pivotal a good team is to the success of the homes, and the wellbeing and contentment of their residents.

Maintaining standards

All Trust Care properties and facilities have continued to undergo their annual inspection to ensure the level of living accommodation and public areas retain the high standards for which the homes are renowned. And, with changes to visiting restrictions, the team also ensured that, as soon as Government legislation permitted, a whole host of innovative solutions were found to restore those vital in person visits.

“The teams at each of our homes know their properties, staff, and residents better than anyone and they ensured each person was able to cope with the visiting restrictions in the best way possible for them,” said Andrew.

“We couldn’t be prouder of how our staff have worked to find solutions to keep our residents safe and comfortable, and whilst some of our residents weren’t able to physically see their own families or friends, they always had their ‘home family’ around them. Our approach has made such a difference to everyone’s wellbeing and mental health.”

Continual personal development

It is also evident how committed staff have been, even in such a difficult situation, as they have continued their own personal development through training and progression within Trust Care which, is a big part of the company’s ethos, and is why many staff have been in their homes for years.

As the care home sector continues to be in great demand, the Trust Care team are continuing to invest in new staff for its existing homes and as it looks to grow its portfolio for families that live in Doncaster and the surrounding area.
