19 memories of good times in Doncaster's Sandall Park going back to the late 90s

Sandall Park is one of the biggest outdoor leisure areas in Doncaster spanning almost 70 acres and with its three football pitches, fitness trails, fishing lake and playground there really is something for everyone there.

Before 1841 the land was the site of a brick works and the lake is a result of the extraction of clay from the area. It was 1940 before it was officially opened as a park and until the 1970s there was a children’s train which ran through the park.

Our pictures, which go back to 1998, are here to remind you of Lion’s fun days, fun at the big circus and fun runs. Take a look and see who you can spot.
