Location of every confirmed coronavirus case across Yorkshire as UK death toll reaches 2,921

Coronavirus cases are continuing to rise across Yorkshire as the pandemic still grips the UK.

According to Public Health England figures released yesterday, Sheffield has the highest number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Yorkshire, at 602.

It makes it the place in the country with the fourth highest number of cases outside London, with Birmingham with the most at 852.

Nationally, there were 33,718 confirmed cases across the UK as of yesterday and the death toll stood at 2,921.

Coronavirus in Sheffield

The number of confirmed cases rose by 4,244 yesterday and there were 569 deaths recorded.

Figures available for the rest of Yorkshire, in the Public Health England breakdown, show 203 confirmed cases in Leeds, 134 in Barnsley, 129 in Rotherham and 95 in Doncaster.

There are also 95 cases in Wakefield and 23 in York.

North Yorkshire has a total of 163 confirmed cases.
