Helping families affected by drug and alcohol misuse in Doncaster

Zone 5-19 Doncaster Children’s and Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Service, which includes the previously known Project 3 service, is running an eight week programme called Family Moving On Together.

This free programme is for families who have children aged eight to 18 years old where a parent or carer is or has a history of misusing drugs and/ or alcohol. It provides a safe, confidential space for parents, carers, and children to talk more openly about the effects of drugs and alcohol on family life.

Melanie Walton, Team Leader said: “Our Family Moving On Together offers support to help families to make small changes which can have a big and positive impact on their lives. If you feel that your family could benefit from this scheme, please get in touch. It is free and could make the difference to your family.”

The Family Moving On Together programme is held in eight week blocks on Thursday’s between 4pm and 6pm in a Doncaster location. Transport can be provided if required.

Zone 5-19 Doncaster Children’s Health and Wellbeing Service is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. It incorporates the service previously called Project 3 and works in partnership with Aspire Drugs and Alcohol Service, jointly run by this Trust and the Alcohol and Drugs Service (ADS).
