Girl's 'kind and thoughful' gesture praised by Doncaster hospital staff

Hospital staff in Doncaster have thanked a ‘kind and thoughtful’ young lady after she decorated Doncaster Royal Infirmary with bows and foil balloons to thank NHS workers for their efforts.

The girl - identified only as Caitlin - left the decorations on railings outside the hospital at 4am this morning, to cheer up healthcare staff on their way into work.

Her actions were praised by hospital staff who posted a picture Caitlin posing in front of the display on their Facebook page this afternoon.

They said: “What a thoughtful thing to do, and what a kind young lady, you have cheered us all up no end.

“The support we have received from our local communities has been extraordinary - every single member of Team DBTH, that's 6,600 health professionals, have been utterly humbled by the outpouring of feeling.

“We really couldn't do it without you all. Thank you.”
