Doncaster's coronavirus death toll remains static as NHS England announces 72 more fatalities

The death toll for Covid-19 hospital patients remains static in the Doncaster region, according to the latest figures out today.

According to NHS England, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has recorded 192 deaths during the coronavirus outbreak, which is the same as yesterday.

Another 72 deaths of Covid-19 hospital patients in England have been announced today, taking the overall death toll in the country to 27,431.

The patients referred to today were all aged between 45 and 96 and had known underlying health conditions.

The death toll does not include those who died in care homes or any other setting.

There have been 275 deaths in Sheffield, which is also the same as yesterday.

In Rotherham, 175 deaths have been recorded, which is a rise of one since yesterday; and in Barnsley there have been 129 deaths, which is an increase of three.
