Doncaster Royal Infirmary's A&E 'very busy' as public urged to consider other options

Health bosses in Doncaster have urged the public to consider other options after reporting that the town’s main accident and emergency department is ‘very busy.’

The current heatwave has brought fresh pressure on the NHS and a spokesman for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “Our Emergency Department remains very busy.

"If you do not require urgent and emergency support, please consider your local GP, pharmacist, the Minor Injuries Unit at Montagu, the Doncaster Same Day Health Centre or, if you're unsure, NHS 111.”
