Doncaster loses another life to Covid-19 as 67 more die across England

The coronavirus death toll in Doncaster has risen by one, according to the latest NHS figures.

Earlier this week, the number of coronavirus deaths in the town passed a grim milestone after the figure surpassed 200.

The figure now stands at 203 after an increase of one within a 24 hour reporting period.

Across South Yorkshire, Sheffield and Barnsley’s death tolls remained static whereas Rotherham reported one more death within the past day.

Meanwhile, across England, 67 more people who contracted the disease have now died.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported coronavirus deaths in hospitals across the country up to 27,926.

Out of the people who died from the virus, two were aged between 20 and 39 years old and 44 people were over 80.

But the figures could be much higher, as they do not include deaths that happened in care homes or within the community.
