Two more Doncaster patients die from coronavirus as UK death toll reaches 9,875

The town has now seen 31 Covid-19 related deaths, with two new deaths recorded in the last 24 hour reporting period.
NHS England announced the figures today (April 11) for the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Trust – which includes Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Mexborough’s Montagu Hospital and Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop.

As of 9am this morning, there have been 183 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Doncaster.
NHS England announced that nine more people have died in Sheffield, bringing the total fatalities to 89, while the city now has 1,095 confirmed cases.
Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, Rotherham recorded 23 deaths – an increase of four – with 267 confirmed cases.

Hide AdThe number of deaths in Barnsley increased by two, now standing at 38. There are been 267 cases so far.
Nationally there have been 73,758 confirmed cases and the death toll currently stands at 9,875 – with a boy, aged 11, among the latest 917 to die.
Meanwhile the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is continuing his own personal battle against coronavirus after testing positive on March 26.
He was admitted to St Thomas’ Hospital in London after his symptoms worsened during his period of self-isolation at Number 10 Downing Street.
