Three more patients discharged from Doncaster hospitals after beating Covid 19

Three more Covid 19 patients left hospital in Doncaster and Bassetlaw yesterday after beating coronavirus, say medics.

Officials at the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Trust said the patients were safely discharged from their sites.

A spokesman said: “We have safely discharged another three patients today. Awesome work from Team DBTH and we wish them all the very best in their continued recovery.”

Chief executive at the trust, Richard Parker, said: “Fantastic news - and this is only made possible by the hard work of our healthcare professionals, as well as local people adhering to Government advice and stopping the spread of Covid-19. Thank you everybody.”

A total of 51 people who tested positive for coronavirus in the Doncaster area have died, NHS England said on Friday, which was a rise of one on the previous day,

However, the figure does not include deaths in the community or care homes.
