The infection rate is also falling elsewhere in South Yorkshire, with only Barnsley having recorded more than 300 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week.
In Doncaster, there were 848 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed during the seven days to November 19 – the latest date for which reliable figures are available – giving a weekly infection rate of 271.9.

Hide AdThat’s down from a rate of 373.8 for the previous seven days, with the England-wide rate being 240.7.
In Sheffield, the latest rate is 258.2, down from 309.5; in Barnsley it has fallen from 409.9 to 302.2; and in Rotherham it has reduced from 390.0 to 278.8.
All four areas remain in the top 100 local authorities nationally, with Barnsley in 67th place, Rotherham 80th, Doncaster 84th and Sheffield 92nd.
