Doncaster cancer charity Aurora is changing the way it delivers services in response to coronavirus.

Following the temporary closure of all Aurora Wellbeing Centres across Doncaster, Mexborough and Bassetlaw, the charity is encouraging clients to use a telephone support service.

The charity, which supports people affected by a cancer diagnosis or living with long term health conditions, is in the process of developing its plans to continue providing the best possible support to local people while following Government directives.

Aurora is uncertain how long measures will be in place, but the charity will continue to review the services it can provide, aiming to offer as much support as possible.

A spokesman said: “It is a priority for us to offer as much support as we possibly can and we are continuing to work with our partner organisations including the NHS and direct people to services that they can currently access.”
