Coronavirus death toll remains static in Doncaster

No new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Doncaster, according to the latest daily statistics

Figures released by NHS England show that a total of 629 people have in the town’s hospitals since the pandemic began – but no new deaths have been recorded in the latest 24 period to 4pm on Wednesday, January 13.

In Sheffield, there were seven additional deaths bringing the death tally to 674, and in Rotherham there have now been 470 deaths after four more were recorded.

There were two more deaths in Barnsley where the death toll is now 471.

The data represents the deaths of hospital patients who had tested positive for Covid-19 in the previous 28 days and whose deaths were recorded in the latest reporting period.

A further 884 people died by that measure in the latest reporting period, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 58,712.
