Coronavirus cases in South Yorkshire pass 1,110: Full list of confirmed cases and deaths

Latest NHS figures show that the current death toll as at 5pm yesterday stands at 61.

Across the area’s four NHS Trusts, there have been 1,163 cases of COVID-19 – although the figure is thought to be far higher.

Sheffield remains the area’s worst hit place, with 34 deaths and 730 cases, an increase of two fatalities.

Both Rotherham and Barnsley have recorded 158 cases each – with 13 deaths in Barnsley and six in Rotherham, with Barnsley up two deaths on the previous set of figures and the death toll in Rotherham increasing by one.

Doncaster still has the lowest number of confirmed cases in South Yorkshire, with 117 cases and eight deaths – up three on the previous day.

Latest numbers released at the Government’s daily briefing yesterday show 4,313 people with the virus have now died in the UK – up by 708 on Friday’s figure – the highest daily rise in the number of cases on one day.

A five-year-old child with underlying health conditions was among those with coronavirus whose deaths were reported in the past day, Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove said.

There have been 41,903 confirmed cases.

The latest deaths in the UK include a further 46 people in Scotland, 13 people in Wales and eight more in Northern Ireland.

There were 212 deaths in the Midlands, more than in London, where there were 127.

Mr Gove said seven healthcare professionals have now died.
