New NHS figures reveal there were 16 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the region last week, with central Doncaster worst affected.
Figures show that there were six cases reported in the Belle Vue and Town Fields area of the town.
Four cases were reported in the Hatfield area while three were recorded in an area that covers Ranskill, Everton and Gringley on the Hill.
There were also a further three cases in the Maltby region.
Meanwhile, Doncaster’s coronavirus death toll has now remained static for nearly a week, newly released NHS England figures show.
There have been 229 recorded COVID-19 fatalities up to yesterday. The figure has not increased since last Saturday, when the figure climbed by one.
There have been 289 deaths in Sheffield, 197 in Rotherham and 148 in Barnsley.
The latest figures come as Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced more easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions across England.
The PM said he plans for a "significant return to normality" by Christmas and under the new guidelines, people may use public transport for journeys immediately, while advice for employers will change from 1 August.
Companies will have more discretion to bring staff back to workplaces if it is safe to do so, the PM explained.
Mr Johnson added he was "hoping for the best and planning for the worst".
