Before lockdown, Madi Mace, aged 33, from Bessacar was working as a swimming teacher but due to the coronavirus has been at home with her children for the past two months.

She had the idea to sell movie packs after she and her family had an at-home movie night which her children loved.

Madi said: “We really made an effort to make it special, we moved the sofa close to the TV, closed the curtains and put the surround sound on.

“It was a day-long activity for me and the kids to make a movie poster and tickets and get all the snacks ready.

Two weeks ago Madi began her business named Like That, and she is now selling boxes with all the things a family would need to make their own movie magic at home.

The family pack includes a box of microwave popcorn, a sweet cone, a share bag of chocolate, and other sweet treats.

It also includes a laminated movie poster where the name of the film you're watching can be drawn on and rubbed off for multiple-use as well as personalised movie tickets.

“I hope the boxes will bring joy to families and enhance the movie magic in their homes,” Madi said.

“It’s way more convenient to order a box filled with everything you need than to run around trying to gather all the snacks and materials individually.”

She said: “I wasn’t sure if a movie night snack box would work during the summer but I’ve had lots of people say they’re glad I’m doing it – there are so many parents out there at the minute who are constantly having to find activities for their kids to do.

“I’ve never been out of work and this has given me something to sink my teeth into.
